A collection of short stories, snippets, memoir-ish flashbacks, and laughable adolescent poems.

I was lucky to win in a raffle this adorable collection of short stories and “what-nots” like miniature poems, songs, and memoirs-conversations, and even debates. All of them, without exception, are real fun to read. They are witty, raw with honesty and pleasantly silly, but at the same time insightful, and even camouflage-political (or am I overthinking?) The back and forth word punching between two narrators (I’m not disclosing who they are to excite more curiosity in potential readers) is brilliant. It was such a delight for me to sit and smile, reading it while sipping a little wine, … at the time of uncertainty in our lives. I’m still giggling at so many funny images this read inspired in my head. Thank you, Kevin. You are a talent.

Perfect Small Book to Read in Today's Times. According to Kevin, “this is a collection of short stories, mini memoirs, poor poetry attempts, tall tales, short tales, fabrications, and other nonsensical fictional factoids.”

I laughed at “poor poetry attempts” and thought this is a book I want to read. I also liked that it was only 108 pages, not a daunting task to get through the whole thing in one sitting and the fact that the cost won’t bankrupt you.

What I loved about the book besides Kevin’s sense of humor, is that it is written as a conversation between his younger self and his older self. What I enjoyed most was the passages he wrote about the adventure and trials and tribulations he had traveling to Maui with his wife and also boarding a cruise that left from Miami. I laughed out loud at those passages.

Although humor is subjective, I think most readers will find something to laugh about while reading this book.
